Dr. Ley, a breast surgical oncologist in Tucson since 2006, delivers compassionate and personalized care to create tailored treatment plans based on the latest research. Specializing in surgical care for breast cancer and high-risk patients, she employs minimally invasive techniques and practices oncoplastic surgery to optimize outcomes.
She attended medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine following her undergraduate at Northwestern University. She completed a general surgery residency at the University of Arizona in 2005 and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco in 2006. She has been a medical director for breast programs at the University of Arizona and Tucson Medical Center.
Dr. Ley has been board-certified in General Surgery since 2007 and has been a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons since 2004.
Ultimately, Dr. Ley brings a personal perspective to her care, as she is a breast cancer survivor herself. She was diagnosed through high-risk screening due to a family history at the age of 44. Through this personal experience, she brings kind and understanding care to each of her patients.
